Welcome to the Enlisted Association National Guard of Arizona web site. I am Master Sergeant David W. Morgan and I am currently serving as your President of the Enlisted Association National Guard of Arizona.
Our mission as an association is to improve the welfare, benefits, and overall conditions of the enlisted Soldiers and Airmen of the Arizona National Guard. We work with our membership numbers to lobby the State and Federal Congresses to provide what are mission dictates. Our Congress in the State is supportive of our mission, but sometimes they do not realize to the true needs of a citizen soldier or airman. That is where we as an association works with those members and their staffs to understand our needs. Your membership in our state organization also gets you membership to our national Enlisted Association. We absolutely need your new and continued membership so our state and federal legislators will hear our voice. Our goal as an Association is to strengthen the Arizona National Guard through improved personnel benefits, better equipment, modern facilities and increased relevance to State and Federal missions.
EANGA is the only association that is entirely dedicated to the enlisted soldier and airman in the National Guard. The other associations that you may belong to, help the enlisted force but the main focus is on the Title 10 soldiers and airman and not you as a Title 32 soldier or airman.
What has the Enlisted Association done for me you ask?
At the State level we have reduced your tax liability on your drill pay and any other military paydays that you have as long as it is in a Title 32 status. We have also delayed the registration and removed the penalties for late registration on your vehicle(s) if you are deployed in support of OEF/OIF. We are jointly engaged with JFHQ and NGAAZ in finding a solution to the issue of the State Tuition Assistance Program Funding.
At the Federal level, we have reduced the monthly payment for the TRI-CARE reserve health care, continued to achieve pay raises that amount to an average of 2.8% in the last 5 years. We are currently working with the federal government on the Active Guard Reserve component to qualify for the newest version of the G.I. bill. (The Federal Government left out the active Title 32 members not deployed in support of the war effort.)
To effectively support our State Enlisted Soldiers and Airman, we need to have you sign up and maintain your membership in EANGA. We always want new and viable suggestions to improve your units in the state. Please do so either by attending our monthly meetings held throughout the state (link) or by emailing me at (president@eanga.org).
The Enlisted Association National Guard of Arizona exists for you; the enlisted men and women of the Arizona National Guard.
